The Storyteller

This is my cover for a book by Catherine Asaro, published by the Windycon 38 science fiction convention. It's a weird hybrid of oil painting, digital painting, and photography. The lighting is based on a 3-D mockup I made of the scene. The aurora shines in the background, with the stars beyond them. And that's me as the storyteller, naturally directing my attention toward the cute space chick. Thus, this picture encapsulates my life and just about everything I do.
