A Trio of Explorers

For much of 2000 I was involved with Blastoff!, which was a company investigating a privately funded robotic mission designed to return to one of the Apollo sites as a mission focused on entertainment, education and science. I made many illustrations showing various stages of the mission. Many engineers and designers, including myself, had a part in drafting the various versions of the spacecraft. It was the first time I was involved in designing space hardware which was to be actually built and flown. Sadly, these sleek little vehicles never got any farther than this.
